Here we have a great poster reminiscent of a bygone era when carnivals and fairs featured popular exhibits of human or animal curiosity commonly referred to as freak shows. “Captain George Costentenus” performed at the Royal Aquarium in 1882. He was a famous traveling attraction who claimed to have been kidnapped by Chinese Tartars and tattooed against his will, the ink covering nearly every inch of his body. Originally printed by H. A. This is a reproduction of a neat hand colored print from circa 1888 of the beautiful Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island, Michigan. It’s great! Print size: 8.5 x11 Inches including white border.
